"Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans". Does that sound familiar to you?
As it happens, a larger amount of Germans are actually planning on spending their vacation in Denmark this year than in 2016.
This is one of the interesting findings in VisitDenmark’s new Image and potential analysis. 8 % of the interviewed expect to stop by Denmark within the next 12 months – twice as many as last year when only 4 % had the same intentions.
The vacation destination “Denmark” is a product with a market demand on the rise, and it has gained awareness in a target group of consumers with purchase intent. So why not sit back and wait for the tourists to cross the border then?
We shouldn’t relax just yet - life could happen to our potential guests, and rivaling vacation destinations are ready to snatch our share of the market from under our nose. It will take work to convert the intentions into actual visits, and we need to make sure that the customers don’t disappear somewhere in the marketing funnel.
So take action:
- Be present in the market with quality marketing, that targets the right audience at the right time.
- Make sure that your landing pages are up to date and appealing to users.
- Verify that your flow of purchase runs seamlessly.
- Increase the number of customers year by year through intelligent marketing.
